Lotus Letters is a monthly correspondence project.
Each month, something arrives in your letterbox: what I'm making, what I'm thinking about. The form changes, sometimes prints, sometimes a longer writing, sometimes ephemera — but it's always connected to what's alive in my artistic process and work.
I've been drawn back to slow, lens-based practices: the darkroom, analog processes, the tactile beauty of materials. The more I work this way, the more I realize I don't want to share it (only) as content on screens. I started Lotus Letters because I was tired of work sitting on hard drives, images disappearing into feeds. I wanted to return to something slower, more physical and intentional.
Designed for those who appreciate the tactile beauty of snail mail and connection beyond screens.

A Lotus Letter includes:
- one [art print] or something else from my studio
- personal letter with information about the [art print/edition/recipe/piece of writing/...]
The letters move between themes I return to again and again: memory and diaspora, food as ritual and connection, the practice of making and gathering, questions about archives, slowness as resistance. Sometimes it's personal — stories from my family, recipes handed down, reflections on belonging. Sometimes it's about creativity and the work itself — what I'm learning in the studio, in the garden and darkroom, materials I'm drawn to, artists and writers I'm thinking with.

What's included in each mailing?
It varies. You might receive darkroom prints, (archive) photographs, writing, recipes, gathered ephemera or other things from the studio.
The form follows what's alive in the work in the process.
When will I receive the letter?
Mailings ship in the second half of each month — the exact date varies depending on what I'm making and gathering.

Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. You can manage your subscription under this link.
You'll receive a verification code by e-mail to access your subscription.
Can I gift a subscription?
Sure! If you'd like to gift lotus letters to someone, you can enter their shipping address or contact me directly and we'll arrange it.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes! I will try my best.
